How to make a pencil case from felt

Today I will introduce you how to make a pencil case. As usually I use felt the material I love.


Preparing:

1. Scissors
2. Felt: orange, brown, yellow, white, grey.
3. Elastic string.
4. Needle.
5. Thread: black.
6. 1 button.
7. Glue gun.
8. Draw a pattern as images below.

sewing technique:

Of course you can use this technique to sew the case. But my product was made from a sewing machine, because I would like to save time and use nicer sewing line as below.

Now we can start.

Step 1:

Cut all pieces of fox that we drew above. Then use glue gun stitch them together. Really easy to arrange them together, isn't it?

Step 2:

Yeah we finished the face of fox. Then we can start with pencil case. Now we cut 2 pieces same size as I mark on picture.

Step 3:

Now we sew the side together, don't forget we don't sew the mouth of pencil case. Because we have to put pen, pencil into it.

Step 4:

Stitch a button on the case to close the lid, to prevent things inside fall out. 

Step 5:

Cut an elastic string around 4cm. Then use glue gun paste it under the face of fox and let it through the lid as image below. After all we paste the face of fox onto the lid by glue gun. Please be sure that they stitch together well.
